Mahameru Goshala

The Sri Poorna Mahameru Trust, founded in 1993, operates an old age home and a free meal
program (Annadanam) in Chennai. Over the years, it has also been actively involved in various
charitable initiatives across Tamil Nadu.

In an effort to protect aged cows, we are planning to establish a Go-Shala in Aduthurai village, near
Swamimalai in Kumbakonam. The facility will be located near the Srividyasram School in Aduthurai,
which is run by our sister organization, the Sri Ramana Ranganayaki Trust. Named “Sri Mahameru
Go-Shala,” the initial plan is to house 20 cows, with expansion plans in the future.
The Go-Shala is set to open on April 14, 2025, coinciding with the auspicious Tamil New Year. We
look forward to your support and contributions for this noble cause. Maintainence expenses for one cow for a month is Rs. 10,000.
