Sri Poornamahameru Trust runs a free old age home and free food centre at Chennai for the past 28+ years. there are close to 40+ senior citizens living there under the care of the Trust, which attends to all their needs – accommodation, food, clothing, medical needs etc. The Trust provides food to anyone (annadhanam) who walks in hungry to our premises in addition to the elders in the home on all 365 days of the year.
We have bought a van and customized it for food distribution with appropriate transport and storage facilities. This vehicle will be driven specifically to hunger zones for providing free food to needy. Mobile vans are aimed to serve the homeless people or economically backward. This Roadside annadanam will be performed every Saturday starting 11th Sept 2021 to serve around 300-400 people.
Donors are requested to sponsor for this roadside annadanam, proposed donation is Rs. 10,000 per week. Kindly join hands with us in this noble cause and to serve the society to make it a better place to live. Together we can make a difference to the lives of the poor especially in this pandemic time.
