Akshaya Tritiya is one of the 3 most holy days as per the Hindu Almanac. Ak-Shaya means “which does not reduce or wane”.Our scriptures say that any charitable act done on this day will give manifold benefit (Punya). It is suggested to perform Annadhanam, Donate clothes,footwear,Umbrella etc. to the poor and needy. This year it was on 29-Apr-17(Saturday).
Like every year, Sri Poorna Mahameru Trust is organized a free distribution of Lemon Rice and Curd Rice packets to poor or homeless people in Chrompet area in Chennai. This is in addition to the regular Annadanam performed at the premises in Pallavaram.
